Established in 1994 and named after the landmark Wither Hills range that borders our vineyards, our expert team grow and craft expressive wines New Zealanders know and trust to represent quality without pretense. Fruit for our Early Light range of wines is harvested early to capture optimum flavour ripeness whilst reducing the levels of naturally occurring sugar which then converts to less alcohol. With special winemaking techniques, the result is a lighter in alcohol style of wine perfect for those occasions you need less, for more.

The Wither Hills Early Light Pinot Gris is consistently a favourite with judges and wine lovers alike, refreshingly lighter in alcohol at 9.5%. This wine is fabulously fragrant on the nose showing apricot, fresh pear, lemon peel and white floral aromas. The palate delivers excellent focus and fine texture, wonderfully supported by juicy fruit intensity and lively acidity, making it immensely appealing.
